Meet Michael Lazar
Michael Lazar is a clinical social worker, experienced in the treatment of addictive disorders and adult mental health. As a clinician, Michael’s focus has been on early recovery from substance and behavioral addictions with patients in high-intensity inpatient and residential levels of care.
Michael earned a Master of Social Work degree (with a Certificate in Substance Abuse Studies) from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from The University of Cincinnati. Michael is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and a Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist – Financial Disorders (CMAT) through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). Michael is on the Board of Directors of the American Foundation for Addiction Research (AFAR).
