HOLISTIC HEALING WITH YOGA, MEDITATION, AND BREATHWORK
At All Points North, we strive to embody a holistic treatment program that supports your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
Our clients can choose to participate in a variety of mindfulness practices during their stay at the Lodge. Yoga, meditation, and breathwork are mindfulness-based interventions that provide a path toward sustained recovery. Incorporating alternative modalities with conventional treatment methods makes it possible to tackle addiction from a more holistic approach. At APN Lodge, we strive to give our clients every opportunity to learn new therapeutic techniques that can intensify the effectiveness of our program and provide helpful tools for life-long success.
YOGA: RECONNECT AND RECENTER
The word Yoga means “to join or yoke together” because the practice is meant to bring harmony between the body and mind. Yoga is built on three main structures: exercise, meditation, and breathing. Each movement is designed to increase the efficiency and total health of the human body.
Yoga is suitable for most adults of any age or physical condition. Even those with physical limitations can find a gentle yoga routine to be beneficial. Clients can expect to experience improved respiration, higher energy, greater vitality, increased strength, mind-body balance, and greater focus to help reduce obsessive thinking and compulsivity.
Our yoga instructors are experienced in specific techniques to help stimulate the nervous system and heal the damaging effects of addiction and trauma.
MEDITATION: ACHIEVE INNER CALM
Treatment can be challenging, which is why we’ve designed plenty of opportunities for you to recharge. Regular meditation can help you achieve a quieter mind and generate energy, clarity, joy, and deep inner peace. You can deepen your practice at the Lodge and develop a tool that will help you feel balanced, motivated, and focused on recovery, even after treatment ends.
Our instructors are experienced in both modern and ancient styles of meditation. They’ll guide you through a variety of meditation methods like mindfulness, transcendental, and guided meditations, to find what works best for your specific needs.
BREATHWORK: INHALE. EXHALE. HEAL.
Breathwork combines controlled breathing with therapeutic intention to support better mental, emotional, and physical health. At All Points North Lodge, we use breathwork to support you in body and mind as you process lingering emotions and thoughts.
During each breathwork session, you’ll work with an instructor to intentionally change your breathing pattern. When you breathe with intention, you’re able to achieve awareness, relaxation, and improved focus, tap into creative energy, process emotions, and release negative thoughts.
Our breathwork instructors will work with you to see what you want to achieve from each session and help guide you as you deepen your practice.
