The Accelerated Brain Health package takes comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment to the next level by bolstering 3 weeks of APN treatment with Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, ketamine/Spravato, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. For private pay clients, available at APN Lodge or APN Dallas Fort Worth, this package offers an altered residential schedule (or completely à la carte program) that includes all available innovative care through our evidence-based adjunctive modalities.
Experience the APN difference through the combination of neurotechnology, psychiatry, and innovative care.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Over the course of three weeks, clients who choose the Accelerated Brain Health package will participate in APN’s three core innovative adjunctive therapies for mental health support and brain plasticity:
- Ketamine or Spravato: 6 sessions (2 per week)
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: 15 sessions (5 per week)
-
Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation: 20 sessions (over 2-3 weeks)
Spravato or Ketamine Assisted Therapy
More than 50 years ago, the FDA sanctioned ketamine as an anesthetic agent, marking the start of its medical application. In 2019, esketamine (brand name: Spravato), a pharmacological derivative of ketamine, garnered FDA approval for the treatment of major depressive disorder, signifying a pivotal advancement in psychiatric medication. Over the years, a robust body of research and clinical trials has underscored the therapeutic potential of ketamine across a spectrum of psychiatric and behavioral disorders.
Ketamine-assisted healing and Spravato can be used to treat:
- Major depressive disorder
- Depression in bipolar disorder
- Suicide ideation (SI)
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Disorders related to substance use
- Other conditions currently being studied
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
At All Points North, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) administers 100% oxygen at high pressures inside a medical-grade HBOT chamber for about 1.5 hours. HBOT offers promising outcomes for inflammation, mental health issues, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI), including concussions.
- Inflammation: By enhancing oxygen delivery to tissues, HBOT can reduce inflammation and encourage systemic healing.
- Mental Health: In mental health, HBOT has been linked to reduced symptoms of depression and anxiety.
- Traumatic Brain Injuries: For TBI and concussions, HBOT shows potential in improving cognitive function and aiding brain repair.
This innovative treatment opens new avenues in medical therapy, especially in neurology and psychiatry, offering hope for conditions traditionally treated with medication alone.
INQUIRE NOWDeep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) uses non-invasive electrical impulses to modulate the brain’s neurotransmitter levels, enhancing mood and mental equilibrium. Within the helmet, BrainsWay’s patented H-coil technology is engineered to target deeper and more extensive areas of the brain. Treatments generally last about 20 minutes with little to no side effects or downtime.
Deep TMS is FDA-approved to treat:
- Major depressive disorder
- Anxious depression
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Smoking addiction
A Note on the Accelerated Brain Health Package
Though the Accelerated Brain Health Package is available to private pay clients only due to scheduling restrictions for insurance-based clients, customized (non-accelerated) brain health packages are available for all clients, depending on their needs. Some insurances do cover Deep TMS, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and/or Spravato – depending on each person’s history and conditions.
*The Accelerated Brain Health Package allows private pay residential and PHP clients to have an altered treatment schedule for 3 weeks out of their stay. In these three weeks, individual therapy continues as normal, but clients attend far fewer groups to open up space in their schedules for APN’s adjunctive therapies. The Accelerated Brain Health package is also available à la carte for those in other APN programs, programs with other providers, or for those not currently in treatment at all but looking for an innovative neuro option.
