- Left on your own when things escalate
- Outcomes rarely measured, never published
- Data that can be shared with advertisers
Is our Virtual IOP the right level of care?
You don't need to be in crisis to need treatment. Our Virtual IOP sits between weekly therapy and full-time care – built for people who need more structure than weekly therapy, and for those stepping down from a higher level of care.
Our program fits if …
- Anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use is disrupting your work, relationships, or sleep – and weekly therapy is no longer holding it.
- You're stepping down from residential, PHP, or detox and need structured support at home.
- You need real treatment but can't put your job, studies, or family on hold.
- Drinking or substance use feels increasingly difficult to control, even if you're still managing daily responsibilities.
- You need tailored programming for your unique needs.
It may not be appropriate if …
… you’re in active withdrawal and need medical detox, you’re having thoughts of ending your life with intent or a plan, or you need support around the clock.
If any of that is true, seek immediate help or contact us to discuss a more appropriate level of care. APN offers detox, residential, and PHP programs – and Virtual IOP can be an appropriate step-down afterward.
What treatment looks like, week to week
Live, interactive video sessions led by a licensed therapist. Group times are designed to fit into daily life, so you can continue with work, school, and family. Psychiatry and medication management may be available to eligible clients.
Four tracks, matched to what you're facing
The goal is to help you understand what you've been through and how it still affects you – then build lasting tools that evolve with your recovery. Each track supports clients with or without co-occurring substance use.
Mental Health & Recovery Track
For people managing depression, anxiety, or another mental health condition. The work centers on relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and rebuilding daily stability.
Trauma Integration Track
For people whose past experiences continue to affect their present well-being. Paced, clinician-led trauma processing with an emphasis on emotional regulation and nervous-system stabilization.
Professionals Track
For high-performing executives and licensed, safety-sensitive professionals who need clinically sound treatment with strict confidentiality – alongside peers who understand accountability and return-to-work concerns.
Athletes Track
For professional athletes and high performers dealing with identity, injury, performance pressure, or a major life transition. Focused on emotional resilience, well-being, and the mental health concerns that affect life and performance.
What we treat in Virtual IOP
We support people experiencing mental health challenges, trauma-related concerns, substance dependence, emotional dysregulation, and co-occurring conditions. If you're not sure which path to take, we can help – a clinical assessment identifies the best path forward before treatment starts.
Most major PPO plans cover Virtual IOP
Covered at the same level as in-person treatment. Our admissions team verifies your benefits and explains the coverage available under your plan before you decide whether to enroll.
We're not able to accept Medicaid or Medicare for this program. If that's your coverage, contact our team to discuss whether other options may be available.

Real results for real people
When you’ve already spent time, money, or hope on care that didn’t stick, proof matters more than promises. We measure every client’s progress with ACORN, an independent outcome system, and we publish our organization-level results. The data is why we can say this plainly: staying engaged works.
For clients engaged in 56+ days of IOP.
Accredited & certified
All Points North is accredited by The Joint Commission and LegitScript certified. Groups are led by licensed therapists and professional facilitators.
A full continuum of care
Detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient. We coordinate transitions between available levels of care so your progress carries with you.
If you need more than Virtual IOP
Your assessment may show that a higher level of care is more appropriate – detox, residential treatment, or a partial hospitalization program at an available APN location. If that’s you, we’ll say so plainly and help identify the next steps.
We don’t see moving between levels of care, or returning to treatment, as “starting over.” Stepping up, down, or back means your treatment plan is adapting to your needs – and we’re honored to help you take that step.
Private by design
Sessions run on a HIPAA-compliant platform. Your care stays between you and your clinical team – your sessions aren't a product, and they're not used for training data. Strict confidentiality protects privacy for every client – especially through return-to-work support for executives and licensed professionals.
Frequently asked questions
Does insurance cover Virtual IOP?
Most major PPO plans cover our Virtual IOP the same way they cover in-person treatment. Send us your details and we’ll verify your benefits and explain the coverage information provided by your plan.
How many hours a week is the program?
Ten hours of programming per week: three 3-hour group sessions plus a 1-hour individual session. Group schedules are designed to fit into clients’ daily lives.
Is a Virtual IOP as effective as in-person treatment?
Clients who stay engaged in an APN IOP for 56 or more days have a 0.2% readmission rate. For many mental health and substance use challenges, research cited by APN indicates telehealth outcomes can be statistically comparable to in-person care when the curriculum is evidence-based. We use ACORN outcome measures to help clients and clinicians monitor progress over time.
Can I keep working while I'm in the program?
Yes. We designed the program with real life in mind – clients attend work and school and remain engaged in family life. The Professionals track exists specifically for people with demanding or licensure-sensitive careers.
What do I need at home?
A private space, a laptop or tablet with a camera, and a reliable internet connection. We run sessions through a HIPAA-compliant platform with cameras on.
