Sherry Young, PhD, CSAT has worked in the Behavioral Health field as a clinical liaison providing triage, assessment, admissions referral, and advocacy for clients of licensed therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists who treat mental health and addictive disorders. From 1997 to the present, she has provided ongoing consultation for practice growth to therapists and counseling practices. She has worked for various companies in the Behavioral Health and Addictions field since 2006 and is currently an independent consultant for All Points North.
EARLY CAREER AND SKILLS
Dr. Young taught psychology and literature at the college level from 1986-1994 and directed university study programs in Rome, Italy from 1994-1997. She is a visionary who is a highly-skilled educator, a strategist in business development, and advocate for recovery and personal growth.
Sherry has three adult children and six grandchildren ranging in age from 12 – 35 and loves family get-togethers. She lives in Taos, NM where she skis and hikes with her Berniedoodle, Sanders. Sherry loves world travel, culture, architecture, and classical music. She loves the quote from poet, Rainer Maria Rilke, “Live the questions. Perhaps in some distant day, you will live your way into the answers.” By day, when she’s not skiing or hiking, she is on the phone with therapists, clients, or family members, or traveling for face-to-face meetings with Professionals to share healing resources. Dr. Young is honored to work with All Points North and believes in their treatment excellence.
