Meet Austin Hamilton

Austin Hamilton is the Director of Clinical and Community Relations for APN in New York and an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) who brings a relational, trauma-informed, and developmentally attuned approach to care. In New York, she partners with healthcare providers, treatment programs, and community organizations to create clear, compassionate referral pathways and expand access to APN’s comprehensive mental health and substance-use services. Clinically, Austin works with children, adolescents, individuals, and families, integrating psychodynamic principles with somatic, creative, and embodied practices to support emotional regulation, relational health, and long-term resilience.

Background and Education

Austin was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. A lifelong athlete, she competed at the collegiate level while earning her bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York, where her early experiences in sports shaped her deep understanding of embodiment, resilience, and the mind-body connection. Austin holds specialized training in Art Therapy (School of Visual Arts), a Master’s in Clinical Psychology (Antioch University), and certifications in Somatic Experiencing, executive leadership coaching, yoga, and nutrition (Cornell University).
