Background and Education
Emily earned her Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach and holds an Advanced Certificate in Grief Counseling. Since joining APN in July 2024, she has held multiple clinical roles across the continuum of care.
She began her work at All Points North Lodge, where she facilitated residential psychoeducational groups on topics including CBT, DBT, Interpersonal Effectiveness, anxiety and stress management, anger management through ACT, relapse prevention and aftercare planning, self-leadership, self-esteem and identity formation, trauma response, and codependency. Emily also co-led partial hospitalization program services, providing both group therapy and individual clinical care.
She later transitioned into a telehealth role as a family therapist, where she works closely with couples and families to strengthen communication, address maladaptive relational patterns, and foster healthier attachment dynamics.
Earlier in her career, Emily worked in palliative care, supporting individuals and families navigating grief, loss, terminal illness, and end-of-life experiences – further deepening her expertise in compassionate, client-centered care.
Across all settings, Emily is dedicated to helping clients deepen self-understanding, build resilience, and move toward more connected, fulfilling lives.
