Meet Dr. David Sack
Dr. David Sack, MD, is the Medical Director at All Points North (APN), bringing decades of leadership, clinical excellence, and groundbreaking research to the field of psychiatry and addiction medicine. With extensive experience in both academic and operational roles, Dr. Sack is known for developing innovative, evidence-based treatment programs that address the complex needs of individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Dr. Sack received his medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed his psychiatry residency at the prestigious UCLA-Neuropsychiatric Institute. He went on to serve as a senior clinical scientist at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), where his research focused on affective disorders, seasonal and circadian rhythms, and neuroendocrinology. His passion for discovery and data-driven care led him to serve as Senior Vice President for Clinical Research at Comprehensive Neurosciences, where he conducted major studies on alcohol dependence, opioid detoxification, schizophrenia, depression, insomnia, and cognitive disorders.
Board-certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine, Dr. Sack has designed and implemented a wide range of treatment programs, from ambulatory detox protocols in general medical settings to specialized services for adjudicated youth and dually diagnosed individuals. His depth of knowledge and strategic leadership have made him a sought-after expert in developing integrated care models that support long-term recovery and psychiatric stabilization.
