Meet Chris Hunt
Chris Hunt is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Clinical Manager of Telehealth & Professionals Programs at All Points North. In addition to general counseling, Chris is experienced in working with trauma patients; he is EMDR-trained and certified in Critical Incident Stress Management. Chris is considered an expert in crisis intervention and is routinely called upon to participate in crisis resolution.
Background and Education
Chris served in the United States Air Force and was an F-15 Aircraft Crew Chief and Quality Assurance Inspector from 1987 to 1997. He is also a Desert Storm Veteran; his experience translated naturally into treating his favorite populations – military, commercial aircrew, and people who have substance use disorders.
A Minnesota native, Chris earned an MDiv and an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. He served as a Veterans Counselor at Tarrant County College Northeast Campus and later as a member of the Faculty at Tarrant County College, serving as the Coordinator for Mental Health and Human Services Programs.
Chris has worked in various treatment centers as an Outpatient Clinical Director, Chaplain, and Family Counselor. He has served the community as a Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Youth Minister, and served on the Denton Medical Reserve Corps. Chris is a champion of issues related to Veterans’ services and disparities in general mental health care.
