Meet Tony Drees

Tony Drees is the Performance & Transition Strategist for Veterans & Military-Affiliated Populations at All Points North. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in organizational leadership, workforce development, human performance, and change management, Tony helps Veterans, service members, and organizations navigate transition with purpose, resilience, and long-term success.

Tony’s work focuses on aligning people, roles, systems, and strategy to support meaningful growth – whether helping individuals navigate life after military service or partnering with organizations to strengthen leadership, performance, and team effectiveness. His approach is grounded in practical experience, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing military-affiliated populations.

Background and Experience

Tony earned his bachelor’s degree through the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation program and later completed a master’s degree in Management. He is a US Army Purple Heart Veteran, a Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA)-certified adaptive ski instructor, and an accomplished speaker and consultant. As an adaptive athlete, Tony is certified to teach both able-bodied and adaptive lessons, further reflecting his passion for helping individuals of all abilities build confidence, resilience, and performance through sport.

Throughout his career, Tony has served as an executive director, national trainer, sales leader, and organizational strategist across corporate, nonprofit, healthcare, higher education, and military settings. He has developed repeatable frameworks that improve leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, organizational alignment, and long-term performance.

His personal experience as a Veteran, combined with decades of leadership and organizational development, enables him to connect authentically with individuals navigating identity, transition, and life after service while helping organizations better support those they serve.

Outside of work, Tony enjoys skiing, adaptive powerlifting, climbing, golfing, horseback riding, and practicing archery. He also enjoys spending time with his family and his service dog, Diva.

What Tony values most about his role at All Points North is helping people realize that recovery is more than healing – it’s about building the capacity to move forward with purpose. Supporting individuals, families, and organizations as they find their path forward is what makes his work both meaningful and rewarding.

Watch Tony’s Story

Tony shares about his military experience and how he recovered mentally and physically after a combat injury, getting his leg amputated, and developing an alcohol addiction on an episode of The Circle of M, a podcast hosted by Marcus Smith II. Tony talks about resilience and leaving a legacy, then ends the episode with a Q&A session from a live audience at All Points North Lodge.
