LOS ANGELES, April 29, 2021 – All Points North Lodge (APN Lodge), the Colorado-based behavioral health and personal development provider, announced today that Philip Hemphill, PhD., a nationally recognized substance use disorder clinician, executive, and researcher, is joining the staff of its expanding behavioral health and addiction treatment center as Chief Clinical Officer.

“I’m honored to partner with this organization; they have a commitment to quality care that has attracted talented clinicians and leaders.” Dr. Hemphill said. “I was immediately drawn to the experienced, qualified staff and organizational leaders who are passionate about APN’s mission. I am very excited to join Dr. Jerry Vaccaro’s leadership team and look forward to executing our collaborative model of care.”

Dr. Vaccaro joined APN in early 2020 and is a seasoned health care executive leader who has held CEO positions in managed care, academic, and provider organizations. Formerly the CEO of PacifiCare, United Behavioral Health, and APS, he joined APN for its commitment to becoming a world-class leader in behavioral health treatment. “With Philip’s addition to the team, and with our completing the clinical continuum in our offerings, we now are positioned to advance the agenda to bring evidence-based treatment, our commitment to better clinical outcomes, and superior patient/client experience, to fruition,” acknowledged Dr. Vaccaro.

Dr. Hemphill’s expertise and leadership are in the areas of trauma-informed care, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. He believes building healthy boundaries will continue to allow clinicians to provide exceptional integrative and comprehensive approaches to today’s complex cases. His second book, “Integrated Care in Addiction Treatment,” will be published on Nov. 23.

“Dr. Hemphill is nationally known for his development and leadership of premier behavioral health systems,” said Noah Nordheimer, All Points North Lodge’s CEO. “His experience and expertise will help us care for individuals and families who have been suffering during our nation’s crisis. In addition, his commitment to effectively communicate the best models of care available in treatment will advance the entire field of addiction care.”

Dr. Hemphill previously worked at Lakeview Health in Jacksonville, FL; Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg, Miss. and at River Oaks Hospital in New Orleans.
