Who We Consult With

Supporting Providers Across a Range of Clinical and Care Coordination Roles

We partner with professionals throughout the behavioral health ecosystem, particularly when clarity, timing, or placement decisions are critical.

Therapists and Counselors

If a client is not progressing or may require more structure, we can help you evaluate next steps, including whether a higher level of care or specialized programming is appropriate.

Psychiatrists and Physicians

For patients with complex presentations, co-occurring conditions, or treatment resistance, we offer guidance on care direction, level-of-care decisions, and identifying when additional support is needed.

Hospital Discharge Planners

We assist with discharge planning by coordinating appropriate step-down care from acute psychiatric or medical settings into residential, PHP, or IOP programs, ensuring continuity and stability.

EAP and Workplace Professionals

When employees face behavioral health or impairment concerns, we help navigate treatment options that address both clinical needs and workplace requirements.

Legal and Intervention Professionals

For court-mandated or family-led interventions, we assess clinical fit and guide placement at the appropriate level of care.

Peer Treatment Programs

We collaborate with other treatment providers when clients require a higher level of care or need to transition to a different phase within the treatment continuum.

If your role involves making or supporting treatment decisions, we are here to help you determine next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to refer a patient to request a consultation?

No referral is needed. Many providers contact us just to talk through a case or consider options before deciding on a referral. We’re here to help, whether you want guidance or are ready to take the next step.

How quickly can I connect with a clinician?

Most of the time, someone from our clinical team can connect with you the same day or the next business day, depending on availability and the urgency of your situation.

What information should I have ready for the consultation?

It helps to have a general sense of your client’s background, current concerns, and any specific questions you have. You don’t need full documentation, just enough information to have a useful conversation.

Is the consultation confidential?

Yes. Every consultation is confidential and stays between providers. We follow professional standards and only ask for more details if it helps us better understand your case.

Will you take over my patient’s care?

No. Our consultations are collaborative. You stay in charge of your patient’s care unless you decide to refer, in which case we work with you to ensure continuity of care.

What happens if APN is not the right fit for my client?

If APN isn’t the right fit, we’ll let you know. Our goal is to help you find the best next step for your client, even if that means looking at options outside our programs.
