Our Treatment Center Mission and Values

APN exists to help people pursue sustainable mental, physical, and emotional health through compassionate care, measurable outcomes, and long-term support. That mission shapes how we design programs, evaluate care, and support people over time.

What We Believe

Mental health and addiction aren't separate problems. They share roots in trauma, neurobiology, environment, and life circumstances. Treating one without addressing the other produces short-term results at best. APN treats the whole person because the evidence supports this approach.

APN also recognizes that shame and stigma keep many people from asking for help. We approach treatment as a clinical and practical step toward recovery – free from moral judgment.

Six Values That Shape How We Work

1.Push Boundaries with Integrity

APN aims to innovate ethically and safely. That means pursuing better treatment options while keeping clinical judgment, transparency, and client well-being at the center of every recommendation.

2.Clients Come First

Every interaction should reflect safe, ethical, high-quality care. From the first admissions call through ongoing treatment, clients should feel respected, heard, and supported.

3.Support the Team

Healing is stronger when clients are supported by both peers and professionals. APN emphasizes collaboration across teams, group-based care, alumni support, and virtual connection through APN Connection.

4.Stay Resilient and Loyal

Recovery requires commitment, consistency, and realistic hope. APN reinforces that progress is possible while staying grounded in measurable outcomes and long-term support.

5.Own the Outcome

APN emphasizes accountability, measurable progress, and follow-through.

6.Be Teachable

We approach this work with humility and a commitment to continuous learning. We seek feedback, use data to improve, and remain open to evolving clinical practices that lead to better client outcomes.

How Our Mission Shows up in Treatment

APN’s mission and values shape the treatment experience. Here is what that looks like in practice.

APN builds treatment around the individual, not a template. Specialty programming for professionals, athletes, and active-duty service members, Veterans, military families, and first responders reflects the reality that recovery needs differ across careers, identities, and lived experiences. When clinically appropriate, care may also include services such as deep TMS, ketamine-assisted therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy alongside broader evidence-based treatment.

APN's environment is designed to support engagement, privacy, and stability throughout care. The setting is important, and it works best when paired with strong clinical programming, individualized planning, and consistent support.

APN offers a continuum of care that includes detox, residential treatment, PHP, IOP, outpatient services, and virtual programming through APN Connection. That range helps clients move between levels of care with greater continuity and a clearer long-term plan.

The Team Behind The Mission

APN was founded by Noah Nordheimer. Arthur Palochak serves as President, and Dr. Philip Hemphill, PhD, LCSW, serves as Chief Clinical Officer. This leadership structure supports APN's clinical direction and organizational growth.

Across our in-person programs and APN Connection telehealth services, APN brings together licensed clinicians, medical professionals, and specialty care teams. APN also highlights The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval and FSPHP-ETA accreditation as external indicators of clinical quality and accountability.

In 2023, WarriorNOW named APN its Community Partner of the Year in recognition of its support for Veteran mental health and recovery.

Who We Serve

APN provides care for adults facing addiction, mental health conditions, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. We also support families looking for direction, professionals who need confidential care, athletes navigating identity and performance pressures, and active-duty service members, Veterans, military families, and first responders seeking specialized support.

APN accepts most major insurance plans, in-network and out-of-network, with cash pay options available. Treatment shouldn't be limited by geography either; our APN Connection telehealth platform delivers virtual IOP and therapy groups nationally.
