MEET DR. DANCZIK
Dr. Irena Danczik is a psychiatric clinician with 20 years of experience, specializing in Addiction Medicine and Psychiatry. She has a deep interest in improving mental health and providing high-quality, state-of-the-art, inclusive care that contributes to the well-being and growth of her clients.
As the Medical Director of APN Lodge & APN Denver, Dr. Danczik is dedicated to our clients’ comfort and safety as they progress throughout treatment, from detox and assessment to residential and partial hospitalization programming.
EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND
After earning her MD at First Medical Faculty of Karlova Universita in Prague, Czech Republic, Dr. Danczik attended SUNY at Brooklyn SC, University of New Mexico, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine.
Dr. Danczik is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in the specialty of Psychiatry and the subspecialty of Addiction Psychiatry and Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry. She attended the Helms Institute of Medical Acupuncture and is an Acudetox specialist, MAT-certified, and a certified yoga teacher.
Previously, Dr. Danczik served as the Director of Psychiatry at Colorado State University and as a Psychiatrist at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, the Department of Veteran Affairs, and in private practice.
