MEET LANA SEILER, LCSW, DAAETS, PAT*<\/h2>\n

As clinical manager of the traumatic stress program at APN, Lana Seiler is passionate in her work with people struggling with the effects of psychological trauma and less than nurturing childhood environments.<\/p>\n

BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION<\/h3>\n

Lana is a licensed clinical social worker and holds a master\u2019s degree in social work and a double Bachelor of Arts in Political and Social Science from Florida Atlantic University. She served a clinical internship at the VA in West Palm Beach where she accumulated valuable experience working with veterans and gained unique insight into their severe and persistent struggles with mental health. She is a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP) and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD) and has diplomate status with The American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and the National Center for Crisis Management (DAAETS). *Lana is currently enrolled in the Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Education Program through Naropa University.<\/p>\n

Lana\u2019s extensive training supports her hard-won results and includes EMDR, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Post Induction Therapy, Internal Family Systems methods, as well as an intensive, trauma therapy training led by Bessel Van Der Kolk. Lana employs techniques from Sensorymotor Psychotherapy and Accelerated, Dynamic, Experiential, Psychotherapy (AEDP). One of Lana\u2019s strongly held values is bridging the gap between advancements in clinical theory with day-to-day practice to stay on top of cutting-edge treatment protocols to better serve clients. Lana holds a certificate of effectiveness from the ACORN outcomes tracking organization which shows empirical evidence for her effectiveness in practice.<\/p>\n

Lana is the host of Therapy Unboxed, a behavioral health podcast. In each episode, Lana discusses behavioral health topics with a guest specialist to broaden awareness of mental and behavioral health issues as well as helps people become more informed consumers of mental, emotional, and behavioral health services.<\/p>\n

Lana has also co-authored articles related to mental, emotional and behavioral health issues in Parade, Healthcare Exec Intelligence, Well + Good, Forbes, Associated Press, among others. She has been a guest on the Ask Katy Anything podcast and appeared in Good Morning Vail. Lana has also been a guest speaker and the She Recovers convention and the Symposiums on addictive disorders.<\/p>\n
